Alexandra Fyodorovna, was Empress consort of the Russian Empire and the wife of Nicholas II of Russia, the last Tsar. Born a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, she assumed the name Alexandra Fyodorovna upon blessing into the Russian Orthodox Church, whic h canonised her as Saint Alexandra in 2000.
On May, 14th, 1896 there has passed Nicolas's crowning and Alexandra, Emperor and Empress of Russia in Moscow. Ipatev House, Alexandra's body, along with Nicholas, their children and some faithful retainers who died with them, was stripped and the clothing burnt according to the Yurovsky Note. Initially the bodies were thrown down a disused mine-shaft, 12 miles north of Yekaterinburg.
