Aprox 2 hour train ride from Moscow is The little known city Of Ryazan. This magnificent old region was founded not long after Moscow and today still boasts its orginal 14th century Kremlin. The Ryazan region is flanked by The Golden Ring, and is none the less spectacular, though no where near as exploited.
This is an ancient city within a city, and is magnificently preserved. Its gold and blue topped towers and spires are quite stunning and are unique to the area. Alena's tour brings to life the many old chapels, the museum, the magnificent white washed buildings scattered amid the white stone walls. Crafts people, markets, musicians and artists add to the pleasant experience the beautiful grounds and park offer.
Your typical day starts at 9am. You will meet Alena at your hotel or apartment. Then you will travel by the famous Moscow metro - and experience which should not be missed - (you will need a guide on the metro!) to Kazanski Vokzal, where an air conditioned express train will whisk you to Ryazan. After you have completed your tour with Alena, you will take lunch in a local and friendly russian restaurant. Then, Alena will accompany you back to Moscow and ensure you return to your hotel safe and soundInnocent around 7pm or 8pm. This is a full day so please give notice of booking.
The cost per day all inclusive (metro, return 1st class rail to Ryazan and lunch) is $120 per person.
