Luigi Pirandello

Agrigento is the hometown of Luigi Pirandello, the playwright who wrote "Six characters in search of an author", Nobel Prize for Literature in 1934. He was also a novelist and a short story writer. Many of his works are set in Agrigento and its surroundings.
