To provide an amazing sightseeing tour in Hungary, guides need the following. Beautiful sights? Check. Factual knowledge? Check. Fluent language knowledge? Not always check. And the most important - enthusiasm? Not always check! They often got bored, as they do the same everyday at touristic companies.
For a while, I do only private tours (English and German) and I enjoy it a lot. More personal, more interactive, much more fun and I am so happy to do! My stable knowledge about the country is combined with cheerful, communicative, polite personality and it is my firm belief, that enthusiastic, open-minded attitude is the most cardinal characteristic in this job.
