Flexible Tour 1: (Rhodes Town & East Coast) this is a half day tour, including the highlights of Rhodes Medieval-town (World Heritage Site), New-town, and Lindos 35 miles from Rhodes town. Stop on the way at the highlights and panoramic places for pictures, etc…. From your hotel, you'll drive to the Old town, you’ll pass through one of the gateways and by the Agora and the Collachium, where the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem lived and worked, building a stronghold of Christendom in the Eastern Mediterranean. Remaining remarkably intact, the Old Town is home to the churches, marble coats of arms of the Knights, canon balls, the inns of the Knights, and most impressive the restored Palace of the Grand Masters.

You continue to the entrance of the old harbor where the famous Colossus of Rhodes once stood, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Then past the many hotel complexes of the New town, continuing up the hillside to Monte Smith which overlooks the Old Town. Enjoy excellent views of the new and old town of Rhodes. Then we drive to the Temple of Apollo, and the restored Greek Stadium and the Greek Theatre. Then your journey to Lindos will take you along a beautiful, 35-mile drive of the east coast of the island, past picturesque little villages, with many glimpses of the sea and a splendid landscape of orange and lemon groves, and gnarled olive trees. From a vantage point along the coast, the impressive Acropolis will come into view with the village of Lindos situated in a picturesque bay below. Once part of an ancient Greek civilization. The Lindos Acropolis also includes the remains of the medieval fortifications of the Knights of St. John. You continue to the south of Lindos, to St. Paul's Bay, where the apostle is said to have landed in the year 51 AD to preach Christianity to the Rhodians. From this point you can also view the cave where the film “The Guns of Navarone” was filmed. Then we drive to the main square of Lindos so you can climb up to the Acropolis of Lindos. Walk through Lindos Village and up the many steps and narrow uphill cobblestone pathways to the summit of the Acropolis to see the magnificent remains of past civilizations. Marvel at the 4th century B.C. Doric Temple of Athena Lindia, a double winged portico, a Byzantine church and the fortifications of the Knights, including the remains of the Governor's quarters. This view is truly panoramic. On the way back you drive along the coastal road to Faliraki, a marvelous sandy beach. If you wish you could add on this program swimming (May to September) on the marvellous beach of Lindos. Duration: Approximately 4:30 hours. Notes: Suggested time for this tour: All the year round

1) To reach the Lindos Acropolis you will be required to climb (or ride on a donkey) 292 steps, entrance fee is approx.6 euro per person in the Acropolis (no charge to enter Lindos)
